Applications
Welding of 5% Mo steels such as ASTM 387 Gr. 5 used in oil refining chemical industries and electric power plant.
Welding of quenched and tempered high tensile strength steel for air craft parts.
Characteristics
N-502 is a low hydrogen type electrode for all-position welding, which provides the weld metal containing 5% Cr-0.5% Mo.
Notes on usage
(1) Dry the electrodes at 325-375°C for about one hour before use.
(2) Preheat at 250-350°C and post heat at 730-760°C.
