Applications
Welding of 1.25% Cr-0.5% Mo steel used for superheater tubes and steam pipes for boilers of electric power plant and ships, oil refining equipments and high temperature synthetic chemical plants.
Characteristics
N-8018-B2L is an iron powder low hydrogen type electrode and is suitable in all position. The limited carbon content in the weld metal is beneficial to reducing cracking in weldment. Both weldability and mechanical properties of its weld metal are excellent/
Notes on usage
(1) Dry the electrodes at 325-375°C for about one hour before use.
(2) Preheat at 150-300°C and post heat at 670-730°C.
