APPLICATION – For hardsurfacing of parts subjected to heavy abrasion moderate impact as in sinter breaker plants, scraping beaks for zinc industry, blast furnace charging equipment, vegetable oil press screws for palm or coconut.
A low hydrogen hardsurfacing electrode with exceptional abrasion resistance with moderate impact at temperatures up to 600ºC. Easy to use in flat and inclined upward position. Low amount of slag. High deposition rate (235%).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR WELDING
(1.) Preheat at 300ºC and over in general. Use NIHONWELD temperature indicating sticks or NIHONWELD interpass temperature gauge to determine if proper temperature is achieve before welding. For more details see NIHONWELD Chart 4 Easy steps for welding.
(2.) It is effective to postheat at 600ºC and to slow cool after welding to prevent cracking.
(3.) Dry the electrodes at 150 - 200ºC for 30-60 minutes before use. Use NIHONWELD portable drying ovens.
