DESCRIPTION
The deposited metal of VHF-800 / VHF-800K is martensitic structure which contains C, Cr, W and B as principal alloy elements. It has extremely high hardness caused by precipitation of chrome carbide and chrome boride. It is most suitable for overlaying of the parts subjected to heavy soil abrasion.
APPLICATIONS
Hard surfacing of pump casings and cutter knives etc.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR WELDING
1.) Usually over 200ºC preheating and 500~600ºC postheating are required.
2.) Take care of the increase of cracking tendency when used for over triplelayer welding.
3.) Underlaying with low hydrogen type electrodes (N-7016 or N-7018) is required.
4.) Dry the electrodes at 150~200ºC for 30~60 minutes before use.
