Hardfacing with Chromium Carbides for High-resistance wear
Description and Applications
A hardsurfacing coated electrode with minimal dilution and low spatter. Deposits smooth, corrosion and wear resistant beads due to chromium carbides. For parts subjected to severe abrasion with moderate impact. Applicable to conveyors screws, mixing paddles, bucket edges, crusher jaws, digger teeth and sand slides.
DIRECTIONS:
Preheating is usually not necessary. Grind weld area. If necessary preheat at 200-400ºC. Manganese steel must not be preheated and should be welded as cold as possible. Apply 2-3 layers to develop full properties of weld deposits. Small hair cracking might occur in certain steels is acceptable.
