DESCRIPTION
N-CuNi is a DC arc welding electrode which gives 70% Cu-30% Ni Cupro-nickel. The weld metal shows good corrosion resistant fatigue. Therefore it is suitable for joining and build-up welding of heat exchangers, distillers, chemical industry equipments and etc.
APPLICATIONS
Welding of cupro-nickel clad steel. Build-up welding carbon steel. Welding of similar and dissimilar metals such as various copper alloys.
INSTRUCTION FOR WELDING
(1) Use DC reverse polarity (DC+) current.
(2) Preheating is not necessary and avoid continuous welding, keep the interpass temperature under 100ºC.
(3) The arc length should be short as possible and adopt straight bead method.
(4) It is necessary no to use excessive current in order to prevent the dilution from base metal for build-up welding of carbon steel.
(5) Dry the electrodes at 200-250ºC for 30-60 minutes before use.
